Taking out the top spot this year is a display on Kristina Ct in Pakenham, which has upped its game in 2022 with an LED snowman, sleigh and massive Christmas trees.

The light show takes the homeowners a month to set up.

Carla Views in Sunbury also made the top 10 best Melbourne displays, and the dedicated residents have been putting on a show for more than a decade.

There is music, moving features, inflatables, bubble and smoke machines.

For those keen to find Christmas lights that have tunes, the best are on Gillespie Rd in Kings Park and Grange Rd in Sandringham.

The Kings Park light show is synchronised to some of the best-loved tunes of 2022 and there are LEDs that dance around on the roof and driveway.

This Sandringham house gained huge popularity in 2020 after its nightly show included Mashd N Kutcher’s famous Get on the Beers remix of Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews’ comments during COVID lockdowns.

The Grange Rd lights switch on for a two-hour show every night from 8.30pm and there are also hampers raffled off for attendees with the profits going toward breast cancer research.

Other impressive displays making it into the top 10 for 2022 are on Glencairn Dr in Greenvale, Hansford Cl in Kilsyth, Viney St in Clarinda, Rawdon Ct in Boronia, Molesworth St in Coburg and Cooper St in Sunshine.

For this year’s Christmas, the 50-acre park has been transformed into a “Festival of Lights” with four hours of constant festive entertainment.

The festival runs from 6pm to 10.30pm from November 25 to December 24 and from 6.45pm to 10.30pm from December 26 to January 1.
