The Haryana Class 12 board examinations for the academic year 2024 are scheduled to take place from February 27 to April 2. Similarly, the HBSE Class 10 board exams for the same year will commence on February 27 and conclude on March 26. These dates mark the timeframe within which students will sit for their respective board exams, as per the examination schedule set by the Haryana Board of School Education (HBSE).

Last year in November, the state government of Haryana made adjustments to the school timings in response to the prevailing cold wave conditions. During this period, single-shift schools were directed to operate from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm. Meanwhile, dual-shift schools were instructed to conduct classes in two shifts: from 7:55 am to 12:30 pm for the first shift and from 12:40 pm to 5:15 pm for the second shift. These changes were implemented to ensure the well-being and safety of students amidst adverse weather conditions.
In response to the severe cold wave, the state government had initially declared the closure of schools for students in Classes 1 to 5 until January 27. Following a 22-day break, schools had resumed their operations. However, due to the persistent harsh weather conditions, the closure of schools was reinstated. This decision was made to prioritize the safety and well-being of young students amidst the challenging weather circumstances.
