Car fire and stuck truck cause traffic chaos on Sydney’s Warringah Fwy and Eastern Distributor

An over-height truck stuck in a tunnel and a car alight are causing major traffic chaos on Sydney roads on Tuesday afternoon.

Both the Warringah Fwy and the Eastern Distributor have lanes closed, with people warned to avoid driving in the area or to allow for extra travel time.

The burning car has closed two of three northbound lanes on the Warringah Fwy just before Miller St.

The northbound Miller St off-ramp is also closed.

Northbound traffic is heavy from Kensington to Cammeray, with anyone driving in the area urged to follow the directions of emergency services and traffic crews.

And an over-height vehicle which has become stuck in the Domain Tunnel has closed one of three northbound lanes on the Eastern Distributor.
