Emma Stone and Yorgos Lanthimos previously worked together on 2018’s ‘The Favourite’, which received 10 Oscar nominations including best supporting actress for Stone. The award went to Olivia Colman for lead actress. ‘Kinds of Kindness’ is the fifth collaboration between Emma Stone and Yorgos Lanthimos. They are also in talks for their sixth film together, a remake of the South Korean fantasy comedy ‘Save the Green Planet.’

Lanthimos has co-written the script with Efthimis Filippou, besides helming it. Lanthimos has also served as producer along with Ed Guiney, Andrew Lowe and Kasia Malipan.
Lanthimos teases ‘Kinds of Kindness’
Lanthimos teased ‘Kinds of Kindness’ at a British Film Institute event in January and hinted at what the film may be all about. He said there will be three different stories, and the edit was in the final stage at that time. He said that he did not think about what the film might be all about because it would make his choices more narrow.
Stone is also set to star opposite Joaquin Phoenix, Pedro Pascal and Austin Butler in Ari Aster’s A24 Western film ‘Eddington’.
