CUET UG 2024 Exam dates
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the exam date for the CUET 2024. The most recent notification states that CUET 2024 will be held in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode from May 15, 2024 to May 31, 2024. Each day, the exam will be undertaken at various time slots.
When registration opens, candidates will be required to fill the NTA CUET application by providing their educational background, marks statements, qualification certiticates and by uploading scanned images of their photographs, PwBD certificate (if applicable), and other required information. It is advisable that candidates prepare scanned copies of their photograph, signature, category certificate (if applicable), and PwBD certificate before beginning the registration process.
Candidates must be careful to avoid errors when completing the form, as mistakes could result in the cancellation of their application. However, there are some fields where corrections will be permitted during a specified “form correction” period following the application deadline.
During the application process, candidates are required to upload formal photos of themselves and scanned images of their signature. Candidates must note that if the photograph or signature is unclear or unidentifiable, the application will be rejected, with no opportunity for correction or revision. Following these guidelines ensures that applicants meet the requirements for their photograph and signature during CUET UG 2024 registration.
The NTA specifies strict instructions for uploading of photos in the application process. According to previous year notification the NTA specified “If it is discovered in the future that an applicant used or uploaded another person’s photograph, signature, or certificate in their application, or if they altered their admit card, result, or scorecard, these actions will be considered Unfair Means Practices (UFM). The necessary steps will be taken in accordance with the provisions outlined in the Information Bulletin on Unfair Means Practices.”
Other specific instructions for uploading photos include-

  • Ensure that the recent photograph shows 80% of the face (without a mask) against a white background, and can be either in colour or black and white.
  • The scanned photograph and signature must be in JPG/JPEG format and should be clearly legible.
  • The scanned photograph should be between 10 kb to 200 kb in size, while the scanned signature should be between 4 kb to 30 kb, both clearly legible.
  • For the scanned copy of the Category certificate (SC/ST/OBC/EWS, etc.), it should be between 50 kb to 300 kb in PDF format and clearly legible.
  • Similarly, for the scanned copy of the PwBD certificate, ensure it’s between 50 kb to 300 kb in PDF format and clearly legible.
