The Joe Rogan Experience host and podcast guest Bobby Lee discussed the reasons Rogan moved from the Golden State to Austin, Texas, in 2020.

“I used to be a part of the blue bubble, I was 100% a left-leaning person who lived in Los Angeles,” he told Lee.

“At the end of the day, I am way more left than I am right, but California went nuts, man, it’s gone full communist, it’s out of its f***ing mind.”

Rogan continued: “Their approach to law enforcement is so insane, the no-cash bail, the letting people out for violent crimes.”

In October, California’s zero-bail policy went into effect, “ending the years-long standard of setting cash bail amounts for defendants commensurate with the severity of the crime they are accused of committing,” CBS News reported at the time.

California Gov. Gavin Newsom has long defended the move, claiming it would help “root out racial inequity and structural bias.”

Rogan then directed his rant at San Francisco, which he described as “nonexistent” due to the exodus of big-name retailers.

“They ruined the city,” he said before suggesting, “You’ve got to have some hardcore Rudy Giuliani motherf***er to come in there and knock heads.”

Rogan added: “They are peace, love, granola and wear a mask. They are in a cult.”

Dozens of retailers have left downtown San Francisco since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Rogan — who told Lee that he has never before voted Republican — may change things up this year.

Last March, Rogan revealed that he would back Donald Trump over Joe Biden because of how “gone” the president is.

“I would vote for Trump before I’d vote for Biden, just because I think with Biden, he’s gone, like, you know, he’s gone (mentally),” Rogan said at the time.

“You’re going to be relying on his cabinet,” he continued. “And I knew his cabinet would be this f***ing sideshow of diversity — which is exactly what it is.”
