But after decades of Aura’s family searching the whole of Colombia for her, she was finally reunited through a miracle find on Facebook.

The touching reunion was captured on camera as Aura and her only remaining family member, brother Fidencio Guerrero León, can be seen in a loving embrace in front of pals and their own new family.

Fidencio greets his long lost sibling with a lovely bouquet of flowers before giving her a kiss on the top of the head.

The clip shows the pair hugging for over 15 seconds as they make up for the time lost.

Aura described the reunion as “a dream come true”.

Fidencio added: “This year is going to be incredibly special because Aura is here and we are complete again.”

When Aura first went missing in the 70s her family spent decades looking for her.

Her devastated mother and father searched the whole country for their little girl and never gave up hope until the day they died.

They looked in every place possible across Colombia to the point where their son, Fidencio, regularly swapped schools when going from town to town.

Following on rumoured sightings of the young girl, the family spent every possible chance looking for Aura.

Her two parents tragically died before she reappeared but her brother continued to hunt for her as they finally found each other through Facebook.

He told local press: “One day, I came across a search campaign and when I looked at the photo, I immediately noticed my mother.”

Aura said: “It is something wonderful that only God can do. He put the people, the moments, he put everything to be able to find my family.”

AURA’S DISAPPEARANCE

Aura remembers heading off on her own as a four-year-old to a local corner shop before being ruthlessly kidnapped, according to newsgroup Noticias Caracol.

She told the news outlet: “I went out to buy a cookie and went to the corner which was a neighborhood store.

“When I returned the bus was parked. An old man was passing by, he scared me.

“I hid behind the bus while the old man passed by and the woman who kidnapped me arrived.”

Aura can even still remember her kidnapper’s features.

She was “tall, dark, with long hair and thin”.

After being grabbed, Aura was dragged onto a bus as she was taken to the town of Villarrica 110miles away.

Despite the calculated kidnapping, Aura was later dumped onto the streets before being taken in by a loving family.
