(NewsNation) — A prominent Hollywood producer, known for his work on hit TV series including “How to Get Away with Murder,” “Supernatural,” and “Alias” has been accused of sexual assault by an aspiring writer.

The accuser, identified only as John Doe, a military veteran, came forward alleging that Laurence Andries, 66, assaulted him in June 2022.

In an exclusive interview with “News Nation Prime,” John accompanied by his attorney, Samuel Dordulian, detailed the traumatic experience. “I just went out with someone I thought was a friend… and I believe that he drugged one of my drinks,” said John.

According to a lawsuit, Andries purportedly drugged John before engaging in sexual acts while the victim was unconscious. The producer now faces six charges related to sexual assault, including sodomy, oral copulation, and penetration with anesthesia or a controlled substance. Andries pleaded not guilty after being charged in September of the previous year and is currently out on bail.

Describing the aftermath, John recounted waking up with fragmented memories and profound physical distress. “It’s like remembering a dream of a dream…I felt like I’d been hit by a truck. I felt like my entire body was bulldozed. My head felt like it was literally hit by a sledgehammer,” he expressed.

He disclosed a longstanding relationship with Andries, dating back to 2014-15 when the producer served as a mentor during John’s involvement in a writing program.

“I trust everything about him. I felt I could trust him. I really did. But it was a friendship. I really thought we were friends,” John said.

The revelation that Andries served as a summer camp counselor for four decades at Camp Becket in Western Massachusetts has raised further questions about potential additional victims. NewsNation reached out to the camp for comment but has not received a response.

“When viewed in retrospect, everything about it to me screams that I’m not the first one he’s done this to,” John said.

Expressing concerns for other potential victims, John urged them to come forward, assuring anonymity and emphasizing the collective strength in speaking out. “Together our voices can help to ensure that this can’t happen to anybody else,” he said.

“If you come forward, just know that you will be protected, your identity will be protected,” John said.

Dordulian echoed John’s sentiments, advocating for justice beyond a mere three-year plea agreement reportedly being considered.

“My entire life has been altered by this… I feel like he did something to me that he’s sick, he violated something sacred inside of me,” John stated.
