Homan defeats Jones to win fourth Scotties Tournament of Hearts title

Ontario’s Rachel Homan captured a fourth career Scotties Tournament of Hearts title with a 5-4 victory over Manitoba’s Jennifer Jones during Sunday’s final in Calgary.

The Ottawa-based team of Homan, third Tracy Fleury, second Emma Miskew and lead Sarah Wilkes will represent Canada on home ice at the world women’s curling championship, March 16-24, in Sydney, N.S.

It was the final Scotties Tournament of Hearts game for Jones, who plans to retire from women’s curling at the end of the season.
