Dubai International Airport on April 19 announced temporarily limitation on the number of inbound flights due to unprecedented weather conditions.
The Indian embassy in Abu Dhabi has urged Indian travelers passing through the airport to postpone non-essential travel until flight operations stabilize. This advisory follows heavy rainfall in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), leading to flood-like conditions. The Indian consulate in Dubai has activated emergency helpline numbers to aid affected passengers. The directive aims to ensure the safety and well-being of Indian nationals amidst the challenging weather conditions in the UAE.
In its advisory issued today, the Indian Embassy in Abu Dhabi said, “Due to disruption caused by unprecedented weather conditions in the UAE earlier this week, Dubai International Airport has temporarily limited the number of inbound flights.”
The embassy in the advisory said while the UAE authorities were working round the clock to ensure normalisation of operations, the airport authorities have advised that passengers may travel to the airport ”only after” final confirmation from the respective airlines regarding the departure date and time of flights.
