A couple of months ago, The Buckingham Palace had announced that King Charles III has been diagnosed with cancer and that he is undergoing treatment; recently, Princess Kate Middleton also announced in a video message that she is undergoing cancer treatment. While there are no major health updates regarding King Charles III, latest reports suggest that King Charles’ Funeral Plans are being updated constantly amid his cancer battle and this has left his son and daughter-in-law, Prince William and Kate Middleton quite concerned and anxious….

As mentioned earlier, reports are suggesting that King Charles’ funeral plans are being constantly updated as a response to his ‘very unwell’ condition. Tom Sykes of Daily Beast said, “Speaking to friends of the king in recent weeks about his health, the most common response is … ‘It’s not good.” He also said that the ‘Operation Menai Bridge’, i.e. the royal funeral arrangements are currently being reviewed. The Daily Beast has said that a document entailing the successes and failures of Queen Elizabeth’s funeral is being circulated. According to a former staff member of the Palace, as quoted in a Hindustan Times report, “The plans have been dusted off and are actively being kept up to date”. It has also been said that the funeral plans are being ‘adjusted urgently’.

Prince William-Kate Middleton Deeply Concerned

These regular updates in the funeral plans of King Charles III has left a deep impact on his family members, especially Prince William and Kate Middleton who are anxious and concerned with this funeral plan report. Kate Middleton, who recently revealed that she too, like her father-in-law is battling cancer, was planning to spend some quality time with her husband and children, is now concerned about the probability of ascending the throne in the near future. According to Tina Brown, the Royal Author, William and Kate, who wanted to spend time with their three kids “out of the public eye, are now in ‘frightening proximity’ to ascending the throne, given the King’s health; the prospect of it, I am told, is causing them intense anxiety.”

King Charles III Cancer Announcement

It was on the evening on February 5, 2024 (Britain Time), when a Statement was issued by the Buckingham Palace, informing the world about King Charles III’s cancer diagnosis. The Buckingham Palace Statement read, “During The King’s recent hospital procedure for benign prostate enlargement, a separate issue of concern was noted. Subsequent diagnostic tests have identified a form of cancer. His Majesty has today commenced a schedule of regular treatments, during which time he has been advised by doctors to postpone public-facing duties. Throughout this period, His Majesty will continue to undertake State business and official paperwork as usual.”

The statement further says, “The King is grateful to his medical team for their swift intervention, which was made possible thanks to his recent hospital procedure. He remains wholly positive about his treatment and looks forward to returning to full public duty as soon as possible. His Majesty has chosen to share his diagnosis to prevent speculation and in the hope it may assist public understanding for all those around the world who are affected by cancer.”
