The chase was terminated shortly after it began due to excessive speed.

It ended when the stolen Mazda was crashed into the back of a truck near the Church Street on-ramp.

The teenage driver was treated at the scene by paramedics for minor injuries before being taken to the Granville Police Station.

The driver of the truck was not injured.

Motorists are being warned to expect delays if travelling in the area, as three out of four lanes in both directions were closed.
