Candidates gearing up for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test for Undergraduate (NEET UG 2024) should ensure they review the list of prohibited items and adhere to the specified dress code to prevent any inconvenience on the day of the exam.
Barred Items
Before entering the exam center, all candidates will undergo thorough and mandatory security checks using very sensitive metal detectors.It is strictly prohibited for candidates to bring the following items into the exam center under any circumstances.
a) Things such as books, papers, pencil cases, plastic bags, calculators, pens, rulers, notebooks, USB drives, erasers, electronic pens, and scanners.
b) Devices for communication like cell phones, Bluetooth devices, headphones, microphones, pagers, and fitness trackers.
c) Other belongings like wallets, sunglasses, purses, belts, hats, etc.
d) Accessories like watches, bracelets, cameras, etc.
e) Jewelry or metal items.
f) Snacks, drinks, and water bottles.
g) Any object that could be used for cheating, including hidden communication devices like microchips, cameras, or Bluetooth devices.
Dress Code
Candidates must wear specific clothing when attending the NEET (UG)-2024 exam.
a. Candidates are not allowed to wear heavy clothes or long sleeves during the examination. However, if someone chooses to wear cultural or customary attire, they must arrive at least an hour before the last reporting time (12:30 pm) for proper frisking without causing any inconvenience, while ensuring the integrity of the exam.
b. Slippers or sandals with low heels are allowed, but shoes are not permitted.
c. If a candidate needs to deviate from the dress code due to unavoidable circumstances such as medical reasons, they must obtain specific approval from NTA before receiving their Admit Cards.
