NEET UG 2024 registration extended till March 16, applications cross 25 lakh mark

NEET UG Registration Extended: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has extended the online registration for the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test for Undergraduate (NEET UG 2024) till March 16. Interested and eligible candidates can apply for the medical entrance exam through the official website at exams.nta.ac.in.
As per the original schedule, the application window for NEET UG 2024 was scheduled to close on March 09. However, the testing agency has extended the registration process till March 16, 2024 (up to 10:50 PM). “In support of the student community, the registration for receiving online Application Forms for NEET (UG) – 2024 is extended,” reads the official notice.
The National Testing Agency will conduct the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test [(NEET (UG)] – 2024 on May 05, 2024 from 02:00 PM to 05:20 PM throughout the country and 14 cities outside India in Pen & paper (offline) mode.How to apply for NEET UG 2024?

Over 25 lakh applications
According to a report by TNN, the registration for NEET UG 2024 has surpassed 25 lakh for the first time, marking an increase of 4.2 lakh compared to the previous year.
Furthermore, the report highlights that more than 13 lakh applications have been submitted by female candidates for approximately 2 lakh available seats, encompassing 1.09 lakh MBBS seats, 26,000 dental seats, as well as seats in Unani, Homeopathy, Veterinary, Ayurveda, and nursing disciplines.
Exam Pattern
The exam will comprise 200 multiple-choice questions, covering Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (Botany & Zoology), with 50 questions allocated to each subject divided into Sections A and B. The Examination will run for a duration of 200 minutes (3 hours and 20 minutes), starting from 02:00 PM to 05:20 PM.
The NEET (UG) – 2024 will be administered in 13 languages: Assamese, Bengali, English, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.
