Arsenal continued their winning run with a 5-0 win over Burnley, while London rivals Tottenham had to suffer a 1-2 defeat at home to Wolves. Newcastle had to settle for a point as they could only manage a 2-2 draw against Bournemouth on Saturday.
Bukayo Saka scored twice as Arsenal kept the pressure on English Premier League leader Liverpool by routing Burnley 5-0 on Saturday.
Last week, Arsenal blew away West Ham 6-0. The Gunners have won their last six games in the league and scored five or more goals in three of them.
Saka scored on either side of halftime and Arsenal remained within two points of Liverpool.
Martin Odegaard put Arsenal ahead in the fourth minute and Saka doubled their lead from the penalty spot in the 41st.
Saka scored again two minutes after halftime and goals from Leandro Trossard in the 66th and Kai Havertz in the 78th completed the rout.
Second-from-bottom Burnley was above only Sheffield United on goal difference, having played a game more.
Sheffield United could move off the foot of the table on Sunday if it avoids defeat against Brighton.
Burnley has won one of its last 12 games in all competitions.

Tottenham 1-2 Wolves
Tottenham Hotspurs had to swallow the bitter pill as they went down 1-2 at home to Wolves.
Dejan Kulusevski’s 46th-minute strike cancelled out Joao Gomes’s 42nd-minute opener, but the Brazilian struck again in the 63rd minute of the game to collect all three points on offer on the road.

Newcastle 1-1 Bournemouth
Substitute Matt Ritchie came to Newcastle’s rescue as they fought back twice to draw with Bournemouth 2-2 in an incident-packed English Premier League game at St James’ Park on Saturday.
Ritchie had been on the pitch for only seconds when he scored in stoppage time, cancelling out Antoine Semenyo’s stunning strike just as it looked like the visitors would emerge with all three points.
Dominic Solanke’s 16th goal — and third against Newcastle — of the season gave Bournemouth the lead, but Anthony Gordon leveled with a disputed penalty in front of a crowd of 52,224 which included sporting director Dan Ashworth, whose pursuit by Manchester United thrust him into the headlines this week.
For the Gordon goal, referee Michael Salisbury was advised to review Adam Smith’s challenge on Fabian Schar inside the area, and after a lengthy spell at the pitchside monitor he pointed to the spot, much to Bournemouth boss Andoni Iraola’s disbelief.
In the absence of the injured Alexander Isak and Callum Wilson, Gordon took charge and dispatched his spot kick firmly past Bournemouth goalkeeper Neto.
