Tjorn Sibma is at risk of losing preselection to a winnable spot on the Liberal’s Legislative Council ticket, with northern suburbs powerbroker Simon Ehrenfeld considered the only lock to emerge from Sunday’s contest guaranteed a seat in Parliament at the next election.
Multiple Liberal sources said Mr Sibma was in real danger of falling to third in the pecking order in the North Metropolitan Region — or possibly even further, which would effectively kill his political career.
