Two people have been killed in a crash on a national highway in the Riverina area of New South Wales.
The tragedy unfolded when a truck and trailer collided with a car on the Sturt Hwy, near Old Common Rd, in Hay just before 5.30pm on Monday.
Emergency services attended the crash site and confirmed two people in the car died at the scene.
The highway is closed in both directions between Nailor St and Old Common Rd. Emergency services remain on site.
