Wounded man found after shooting at Sydney CBD building

A man was shot in Sydney’s CBD on Wednesday afternoon, NSW Police said.

Reports of the shooting were made about 12.50pm, before first responders found a man with a gunshot wound inside a building on Castlereagh St.

He was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics and first responders.

The public are advised to avoid the area so that emergency services can quickly enter and exit.

“A man has been arrested and there is no further ongoing threat to the community,” NSW Police confirmed.
