Our Third Place, a youth drop-in center, offers social services in Glendale – Daily News

Youth advocates and service providers on Friday, March 22, celebrated the opening of the Didi Hirsch Mental Health Services youth drop-in center in Glendale.

Called “Our Third Place,” the space at 1540 E. Colorado St. is Glendale’s first drop-in center for young people ages 15 to 25 to get a host of services from mental health therapy and substance use counseling to help with finding housing and job applications.

The center provides access to showers, food and laundry facilities, as well as a recording studio and art studio. Cooking and art classes are offered onsite.

Since 1942, Didi Hirsch Mental Health Services has provided mental health, substance use disorder and suicide prevention services.

The organization works with children and adults from 10 locations and 74 schools throughout Los Angeles and Orange counties and provides services to more than 189,000 people annually through its programs. It has helped over 1.8 million people in the past 15 years and quadrupled the number of children and families it served in the past two decades.
